How to Get to Conference Hotel: NLTE/Hertz

To get to the conference hotel, the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, from the airport in Reno, Nevada, the WHA has made an arrangement with North Lake Tahoe Express (NLTE), a local shuttle service.

Ground transportation at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport is limited so it is strongly recommended that you make an advance reservation, to avoid delay on your arrival.

Reservations are required 24 hours in advance for the shuttle to travel at the scheduled times.

The direct URL for the log-in page of the reservation system is:

Transit Activity Tickets.

Your code to log in is WHA. When you log in, you will be brought to a screen that will say “Welcome Western History Association.”

You will log in using this code and this will also be the “group code” that you will use when making the reservations. This will ensure that you will receive the correct rate:  which is $35.00 each way. Travel time to the hotel from the Reno airport is approximately 40 minutes.

You may also contact the NLTE dispatch office directly for reservations at 866-216-5222 and mention the group code WHA.

The larger number of passengers you book on one reservation with one payment method the better group rate you will receive. If you know that a friend or colleague will be traveling and needing the same shuttle times, you would be able to receive a better group rate by making the reservation for all of them under one person’s name, with one credit card, and then splitting the cost amongst the group.

The WHA also has an agreement with Hertz, a national rent-a-car service.   For details, see: Hertz Meeting Services.
